Problems with activex anti-virus software and applications

posted on 26 March 2012

Activex is the most unpopular anti-virus software and application. This is because it has failed time and again to offer the basic services that computer users seek. Activex controls for viruses do not work half of the time and people who use this anti-virus software have had to back it up with another protection software. This makes no sense as it is better to have one anti-virus software running than to have to ineffective ones operating on the same computer at the same time. Each Activex Problem is brought about by failure to integrate customer requirements in this antivirus. Internet users look for antivirus that can work by automatically updating itself and Activex so far is the only software that cannot do this. Installation has to be done all over again when an expiry date is reached. This is not only time consuming but it is expensive to keep on buying new models of the Activex antivirus and technicians who have to set it up all the time also need to be paid on time.

The Good and Bad Experiences I Had With Internet Marketing

posted on 16 March 2012

There are so many ways to promote a business, but the internet seems to be the best way. I built a website and promoted it with passion through Facebook. I caught on to the Twitter marketing craze a little late, but I definitely had a blast with Facebook. I was able to reach lots of people that referred friends, but it was hard to get traffic to my website. Lots of people would see my Facebook page and just come to the store from there. I had coupons on my website, but no one printed them because everyone was finding my store through the Facebook account. It wasn’t until I started using Twitter to direct people to my website that the traffic began to pick up. I honestly wish that I would have started using Twitter first. It appears to work better for the type of business that I have. Not content with that though, I'm currently in talks with email marketing consultants to get an even wider audience to discover my site.

I Promised No More Procrastinating from Now On

posted on 28 February 2012

I have learned my lesson well and I made a promise to myself that next time I will not wait till the last minute to work on something. It all happened last month when I got this project on how to get higher on google search results. I was feeling pretty confident with myself and kept putting it off. I ended up wasting a large portion of the month with no productive output and by the end of the month I was rushing like a mad woman to get the project finished. I hated myself for it since I ended up submitting a half baked project and that's something I despise. I was just thankful that my client did not seem to notice the fact that I just submitted a lackluster project. Maybe he did but he did not say anything and just went about paying me and giving me yet another project. When I got the new project I remembered my promise and went about doing it as soon as I got it.

The Gift that Comes with True Friendships

A few days ago, Rose's dad passed away. He succumbed to heart attack. Rose and her family are devastated. No one was prepared for it. His dad was seemingly a healthy man until that fatal attack. Rose's mother did not take what happened well for she was also rushed to the emergency room the same day her husband died. It was a good thing that Rose was not alone during those trying moments in her life. She had the love and support of her relatives and her dear friends. Rose has been very open in Sharing Problem, especially with her friends. They knew that Rose was not financially capable to take care of all the fees that had to be paid. In order to help Rose, her friends went out of their way to ask other people for financial assistance. Rose was overwhelmed by her friends' gestures. She could not stop thanking everyone who never left her side and have made things a little easier for her and her family. Losing a loved one is the most painful experience but it makes a difference to know that you have friends to count on.

Here's Exactly Why I Don’t Like Ad Banners

posted on 22 February 2012

Something that really annoys me when it comes to surfing the internet is ad banners and general advertising. Even Facebook is full of Timeline banners these days that people like to use to advertise some product or service. The most annoying banners are those that pop up when you open a new page. They block out the entire site you want to view and force you to notice them. Regular ad banners just stay on the top on the site or on the side and you can ignore them if you want. But the kind that pop up don’t give you that choice. This usually aggravates me so much that I usually refuse to ever use that site again. On the other side I can understand that it is expensive to run an internet site. People need money to pay for their servers and maintenance. And one easy way to deal with this is ad banners. But please do not make them pop up and cover up the whole page!
